Changelog

What's new in each version of the SensorCast Android app.

Version 1.2

LatestJune 2026

Reliability release: sign-in, streaming, and settings fixes plus a smoother account experience.

New
  • Sync button in Settings to pull your latest profile from the server.
  • Confirmation prompt when changing your username, so you don't release it by accident.
  • Banner ads to help keep SensorCast free.
Fixed
  • Google sign-in now works reliably.
  • Crashes that could stop sensor streaming in the background (Android 14/15).
  • The refresh-rate setting now actually controls how fast data updates.
  • No longer shows "authentication required" while you're logged in.
  • Resolved a connectivity issue that could block the app from reaching the server.
Changed
  • Logging out now fully clears your session and returns you to the sign-in screen.
  • Usernames are now changed from the web dashboard; the app links you there and syncs the result.
